![]() ![]() If you're able to chew through and digest the terribly dry writing, then more power to you, because as I said what little I got through was interesting to me, but if you go into this expecting excellent writing then I'm afraid you're out of luck. With most things, I can make myself sit down and force my way through, but not with this one. ![]() It reads like a really awful textbook and, even with my pronounced intrigue with lycanthropy and the related folktales, I honestly couldn't make myself read through the whole thing. However, the fact of the matter is, the writing is dreadfully boring. What little I managed to get myself through, I thought was interesting. The information? Spot-on and invaluable, particularly when taking into account that this seems to be the only reputable source for werewolf and vampire tales in Romania. ![]() I can understand why the book went out of print. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly waned, because. This book was recommended to me by someone who shares my interest in lycanthropy and folktales of such, so I was very excited to learn that my university's library had an interlibrary loan program that could track down a copy for me to check out, without the painful price tag stuck onto a book that was out of print. ![]()
